I didn't walk when I got home because RDC needed a helper bee for sushi. His first attempt, and we made California rolls. I was quite impressed by how well they came out: rice, crab, cucumber, avocado, all neatly wrapped up in nori. And, in contrast to restaurant sushi, here we ate our fill with little guilt.

Last Thanksgiving I watched my first episode of "ER." Now I love it. A hospital drama? Good grief. At least I have also liked the only episode of "South Park" I have seen, which might balance this banality. I love Thursday nights. Seinfeld. The interSeinfedl&ER sorbet run. ER. Slothfulness. Bliss.

We had our Halloween potluck at work today. I had forgotten about the costume bit, but it's just as well I didn't. Someone else was already the Cat in the Hat and she had big red buttons down her front, which I don't. I meant to get some felt to make said buttons before Saturday, but I didn't. Someone brought Halloween Oreos. Aren't these new? With the filling dyed orange? Very seasonal, but I had no milk, and no cash, and I wasn't about to use my debit card for a pint of milk. No more until next year. I don't suppose black and red or black and green Oreos for Christmas would have the same appeal. Oh well. Next year.
