14 June 2000: Death to Hideousness

Today, the mint green died.

no more seafoam

Sometime before the end of May, a lavender bedroom was achieved.

We might keep the milkcrates because they're such a good color of blue.

I have no "before" still shot of this room. (I do have it on video.) Instead of the full photodocumentary of the evolution of the house that I intended to make, I have lots of shots like this:

And if there's anything more adorable, more important to illustrate, than a sleeping cockatiel with his neck feathers fluffed and his crest relaxed, I have never heard of it.

We used a Discman connected to Mac speakers in the living room at first. Blake just loves the Dave Matthews Band:

his master's voiceYou want to know why Jenn described Beth as cute? Because Beth exclaimed "Puppies!" when she saw that card. Or possibly "Lab puppies!" This is, of course, approximately the same thing I exclaimed when I opened it (a birthday card from my sister).
